The woman complainant in the infamous partner-swapping case was hacked to death in her house in Kottayam district of Kerala on Friday. A day after her murder, her husband was admitted to the hospital after his suicide attempt was foiled on Saturday.

According to India Today, in January, a woman Juby gave a complaint to the police on the alleged partner swapping incidents based on which the police busted a couple swapping racket in Kottayam. In the complaint, the woman also alleged that her husband forced her to have group sex and she was violated by a group of men with the 'consent' of her husband.

Seven persons including the husband of the woman were arrested. However, recently, the husband who was remanded in the case was released on bail.

Against this backdrop, on Saturday, Juby Jacob (32) was found dead with multiple slits on her throat. Juby was staying with her parents. While Juby's parents were out of the house, the murder reportedly took place. Juby's son who saw her lying in a pool of blood alerted the neighbours.

Juby was taken to the hospital but she was declared dead. The cause of the death was several stabs in the neck.

The report also said that Juby might have reportedly been stabbed inside the house and while she had tried to come out of the house she might have collapsed and fallen on the veranda.

The family alleged that her husband Shino (32) of Kangazha was behind the murder.

The police and forensic experts collected proof from the spot.

Shino Attempts Murder

After the murder, Shino reportedly tried to take away his life. However, the suicide attempt was foiled and he was taken to a Medical College Hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
