Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday released a list of members of the party's Central Election Committee (CEC) and its parliamentary board, in which Karnataka's former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has been inducted.


After he was named in the party's CEC list, Yediyurappa spoke about how he is focused to bring back the party to power in Karnataka. "I'll faithfully discharge responsibilities given to me by the party. My aim is to bring the party back to power again in Karnataka in 2023. I'll work for the party till my last breath," Yediyurappa said as quoted by news agency ANI.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai thanked the high command for choosing to induct Yediyurappa into the BJP National Parliamentary Board. Taking this to Twitter, Bommai wrote, "Thanks to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji & BJP National President JP Nadda Ji for appointing BS Yediyurappa Ji as a Member of BJP National Parliamentary Board. This will boost the morale of party Karykartas & rejuvenate them for upcoming 2023 elections."


As reported earlier, BJP on Wednesday announced its rejigged Parliamentary Board with PM Modi, Union ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh and BJP president JP Nadda among the eleven members. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have been left out of BJP's Parliamentary Board in a major organisational revamp.
