A fortnight after BJP Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettaru's death, Karnataka police and NIA on Wednesday will discuss about those who are absconding. The police have already arrested seven accused in the murder case of the BJP youth leader and they stated that three more main accused are to be taken into custody.


Speaking to the media, ADGP Mangaluru, Alok Kumar said that they will hold a review meeting with officers of various districts along with NIA in Bellare on Wednesday. 


"Today we (Karnataka police and NIA) will discuss about those who are absconding and issuing warrants to them through court, seizure of their property, and other things," Alok Kumar said, as quoted by news agency ANI.

On July 26 (Tuesday), BJP Yuva Morcha worker Praveen Nettaru has been hacked to death with lethal weapons by three assailants, who came on bike and attacked him, in Sullia in Dakshina Kannada. The BJP worker was attacked while he was closing his chicken shop on Tuesday evening.


Meanwhile, Hindu groups have called for a bandh in Sullia, Puttur and Kadaba taluks of the Karnataka-Kerala border districts.


Meanwhile, days after the BJP youth leader's murder, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced that the state will adopt his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath's model to deal with communal forces only if required.


Bommai said that as per the existing situation in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi had been the taking right decisions, but in Karnataka, there are many regulating mechanisms to deal with the issues in the statement.
