NIA on Tuesday conducted searches at more than 24 locations in Puttur and Sullia in Dakshina Kannada district in connection with Praveen Nettaru murder case. Praveen a BJP Yuva Morcha worker was hacked to death in Dakshina Kannada on July 27.
The NIA, which is probing the death of the BJYM worker, raided the premises of relatives of 10 youth accused in the murder and also they have conducted searches in the buildings owned by SDPI leaders.

The murder of Praveen led to an uproar in the state. Following protests, Karnataka CM Bsavaraj Bommai promised of stern action against the accused. CM Bommai visited Praveen's residence and handed over a cheque of 25 lakhs to his family.
a total of 10 persons have been arrested in connection with the murder case. First they nabbed seven accused and after a fortnight they have arrested three more. The accused killers, who remained elusive for 15 days, have been identified as Shihaab, Bashir and Riyaz.
The police had formed six special teams to nab the killers, who came on two bikes and hacked Praveen to death on July 26. The police teams raided the place where the killers had taken shelter and nabbed them.
