Mysuru: Amid Congress in Karnataka slamming the ruling BJP for not able to traceout the whereabouts of culprits in Mysuru gangrape, which happened late Tuesday evening, Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said this is not the time to gain political mileage over such incidents and many such cases happened during Congress regime.
Speaking to ANI regarding the issue, "The rape happened in Mysuru but Congress trying to gain political mileage from the incident. It was an inhuman incident. The girl &her friend must have gone to a deserted place, they should not have gone there," said Jnanendra.
Congress leaders BK Hariprasad and Rizwan Arshad slammed the ruling BJP government in state. According to a report in Times Now, Hariprasad said that the Karnataka is becoming like Uttar Pradesh.

Ahead of inspecting the crime scene In Mysuru, the Home Minister said, "The police are trying to trace the accused, no arrests made yet. The girl is admitted to a hospital and her statement is yet to be recorded. I will be going to Mysuru today evening."
According to a report in Times Now, earlier on Thursday, the National Commission for Woman have taken cognizance of the case and wrote a letter to Karnataka DGP to identify the accused and arrest them.
A Medical student from Uttar Pradesh was raped by a gang of six youths at the foothills of the Chamundi hills in Mysuru on Tuesday night at about 7 PM, police said on Wednesday.
This happened when the girl was returning home with a friend. She had gone to an isolated Chamundi hills area with him. The gang of six youths, allegedly in an inebriated state, waylaid the victim and her friend near isolated Lalithadripura and committed the crime, they said.
