In the wee hours of Monday, miscreant bikers rammed into a car on Bengaluru's Sarjapur Road and chased the couple in the vehicle for 5 kilometers. The bikers followed the couple till their society in Chikkanayakanahalli. The accused have been identified as Dhanush and Rakshit.


"Two people, Dhanush and Rakshit, were held in connection with the incident where they (on a two-wheeler) collided with a couple in a car and chased them for 5 kms till their society in Chikkanayakanahalli late last night. FIR registered.


"The two bikers have been arrested on Monday," said DCP Whitefield, S Girish as quoted by news agency ANI. The accused have been identified as Dhanush and Rakshit.

The bikers could be seen in the video riding on the wrong side and ramming into the car. After which a group of people followed the couple in the car to their society in Chikknayakanahalli in Bengaluru.


Accused Dhanush, 24, is a fish seller in Bellandur and Rakshit, 20, works in the same fish shop, said an Indian Express report. Police said that they have been booked under Section 384 (extortion), Section 506 (Criminal intimidation) and Section 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace).


A Twitter account named 'Citizens Movement, East Bengaluru' has shared the video which has gone viral on social media.
