A couple in Karnataka is facing legal trouble after photos of their infant dressed in a jail uniform with jailed Kannada superstar Darshan's prisoner number went viral on social media. The Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR) has taken suo moto cognizance of the matter and directed the police to track down the parents.


The photograph, showing the baby in a white outfit with handcuffs and Darshan's prisoner number 6106, has raised significant concerns online. Shashidhar Kosambe, a member of the KSCPCR, condemned the photo shoot, stating it was a violation of the Juvenile Justice Act. "Legal action will be initiated against those responsible for this inappropriate photoshoot," Kosambe asserted, as per a report on IANS, on Wednesday.


The commission has registered a case and asked state police to locate the parents involved in the controversial photo shoot. Kosambe emphasized that the act is not only condemnable but also illegal, and appropriate measures under all relevant provisions of the law will be taken, according to the report.


Meanwhile, Darshan's prisoner number 6106 has gained unexpected popularity on social media. Fans of the actor have been getting tattoos and displaying the number on their vehicles. The film chamber has even been approached for the registration of movie titles such as "Khaidi No 6106."


Authorities have expressed concern over these developments, emphasizing the negative impact and the potential for glorifying criminal behavior. Darshan, along with his partner Pavithra Gowda and 15 others, was arrested for the murder of Renukatwamy, a 33-year-old resident of Chitradurga.
