New Delhi: A Day after the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has given nod to Bharat Biotech's vaccine against Covid for children in the age group of 15-18, the Karnataka government on Sunday announced that at least 43 lakh children falling in the age bracket will be innoculated in the state starting from Monday (January 3).
With growing Omicron cases in the country, Section 144 will be imposed in the state from December 28 for 10 days from 10 PM to 6 AM, said Karnataka Health Minister Dr Sudhakar K.

The minister revealed that 75 per cent of the eligible population has been administered the second dose of vaccine against Covid. "The administration of the preventive dose will start from January 10 for those with comorbidities and above 60 years of age," Health Minister Sudhakar told the media.
