Chennai: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday said that his government has been keeping a check on anti-national activities taking place in the state.
According to a report from IANS, the chief minister has said that the state police has been extending its full coordination to National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and that is how those who are indulging in anti-national activities could be arrested.
Quoting the chief minister, the report said that the state police has been keeping a vigil in coastal and forest regions and they do not tolerate anti-national activities. “We will always fight against these divisive forces and they are handled with the help of the NIA,” said Bommai according to the report.

To a question about whether there are any intelligence inputs on terrorists entering the state, the chief minister said that certain matters could not be discussed in public and they have been focusing on coastal and forest regions in the state, according to the report.
To a question about the Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Karnataka’s Davanagere district, he said that Amit Shah is taking part in various developmental programmes along with other union ministers and various state projects would be discussed with them during their visit, the report said.
Quoting Bommai, the report further said that the BJP would win Hubballi-Dharwad, Kalaburagi and Belagavi local body elections.
The report said that the chief minister had assured that lockdown restrictions would be lifted in accordance with the covid-19 situation in the state.
