New Delhi: After the Azaan loudspeaker issue was raised by the Hindu fringe group, Chief Imam at Bengaluru's Jamia Masjid Mohammed M Imran Rashadi on Thursday said that they have arranged a device that controls the sound of loudspeakers.


They are ready to follow the Supreme Court-Issued notices but temples also should similarly follow, he added.


"We've arranged a device that controls the sound as required so that no problems arise. We'll follow all the SC-issued notices. Similarly, temples should also follow," news agency ANI quoted as saying by Mohammed M Imran Rashadi, Chief Imam & Khateeb of Jamia Masjid, Bengaluru.

This response from the chief Imam came after Karnataka Health Minister Sudhakar K earlier on Thursday said that the Azaan loudspeaker issue has been settled by the law.


"This (Azaan loudspeaker issue) has been settled by the law, and SC has already given the direction. Noise pollution is also one of the facets of loudspeakers being used for Azaan," Karnataka Health Minister Dr Sudhakar K said, as quoted by news agency ANI.
