Venkaiah Naidu epitomises parliament's role on 'Principle of democracy'
New Delhi [India], July 19 (ANI): Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday epitomised the role of parliament in asserting the principle of democracy.
Addressing the Lokmat Parliamentary Award function here, Naidu, the NDA's vice presidential nominee, said "The principle of democracy is as a government I propose; as an opposition you oppose and later let the House dispose".
Last month, it was reported that Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) leader and Lok Sabha member N K Premachandran had won the Best Parliamentarian award which was given out by the Lokmat Media Group. (ANI)
