Uddhav Thackeray raising communal angle to gain people's attention: Muslim cleric
New Delhi [India], October 1 (ANI): Muslim cleric Maulana Sajid Rashidi on Sunday stated that Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray was raising communal angle to gain people's attention as the other parties' graph is rising in Maharashtra.
The statement comes after Uddhav Thackeray accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of maintaining a dual stand on the issue of singing Vande Mataram.
Speaking to ANI here, Rashidi said, "The Shiv Sena is doing politics of hatred. They are raising the communal angle to gain people's attention as the other parties' graph is rising in Maharashtra."
Earlier in the day, while speaking about their alliance party BJP in the state, Uddhav said that they allied with BJP for the sole purpose of "unity of Hindu votes, adding that "If they think, that we are of no use for them, then we will see how to deal with it." (ANI)
