One terrorist killed in Pulwama encounter

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir) [India] Nov. 2 (ANI): One terrorist was killed on Thursday in an encounter with security forces at Samboora village in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The army and Jammu and Kashmir police started search and cordon operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

At the time of filing this report, two terrorists were still trapped and the encounter was underway.

On August 26, terrorists attacked the district police lines complex in Pulwama. Eight security forces died in the attack -- four Central Reserve Police Force personnel and four Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel. Three terrorists were also gunned down.

On August 9, Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Gulab Bagh area of Tral in Pulwama after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants there and killed three terrorists. (ANI)
