Locals block Yamuna Expressway after 3 people were run over by a vehicle

Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Sept. 28 (ANI): The traffic on Yamuna Expressway came to a halt on Thursday morning near Mathura after locals blocked the highway in protest against an accident where three people were run over by a vehicle on the expressway.

Three men were injured and one was killed in two road accidents on Yamuna Expressway in Mathura district in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. The accidents were reported in Mannt and Surir police jurisdiction.

Earlier on Tuesday, four people were killed and five others injured after a car overturned on the Mathura-Yamuna Expressway.

The accident took place near milestone 116, when a speeding Maruti Suzuki Ertica overturned, killing all four occupants. (ANI)
