ABP News Rajasthan Assembly Election 2018 Exit Polls: Rajasthan seems to going to the Congress, with ABP News exit polls predicting a clear majority to the grand old party over the BJP. The state of Rajasthan voted for 199 seats in the assembly election that took place today, out of which the Congress is getting a total of 101 seats. Followed by BJP with 83 seats and 15 seats will be grabbed by others, as per ABP News exit poll.

Congress will clutch the giant share of the overall seats in the assembly. The BJP is likely to retain 83 seats of the 199 seats, losing another term in the state. The Indian National Congress is likely to secure 101 seats.






The Congress has emerged as the most preferred party; 41.5% percent have voted for the Congress whereas the incumbent party BJP has secured 40 percent of the votes. On the other hand, BSP has got 4% votes, according to ABP News exit poll.


Pre-poll survey was conducted by Lokniti-CSDS between Nov 26 and Dec 2, 2018 and the exit poll was conducted on Dec 7, 2018. Sample size of Pre Poll was 5027, while it was 2270 for exit poll.
In the Lok Sabha Election, voters of Rajasthan have intended to vote for the BJP and there is a difference of 10% points.



An interesting finding which emerges from the survey is that though people are not ready to give another chance to the BJP government in the state in the present assembly election, but they are ready to give another chance to BJP govt in upcoming Lok Sabha election scheduled in 2019


In the present survey Vasundhara Raje is the most prefered but her peopularity ha come down drastically; Ashok Gehlot is only one percentage point after her.

Not many voters are satisfied with the state govt headed by Vasundhara Raje; on the contrary, voters are much more satisfied with the Central Government run by the NDA.


The campaign led by PM Modi may have had an impact on this swing as seven of ten respondents believed visits in Rajasthan and did rallies close to the day of voting.Narendra Modi is the most prefered leader in Rajasthan, three of four surveyed voters like him, followed by ex-CM Ashok Gehlot, liked by a little more than two thirds of the respondents. Even Sachin Pilot is more likeable than Vasundhara Raje on individual rating.

Congress is leading by a margin of 1.5% points over the BJP. The other parties could play a significant role in the government formation.
There is a tight contest between the Congress amd BJP in Rajasthan election which was seen as an easy victory of the Cong during the pre-poll survey conducted in mid Oct 2018.

Before the exit poll results that ABP News will be announcing anytime now, over 72 per cent of the 4.74 crore registered voters had cast their vote by 5 pm in Rajasthan where elections were held Friday for 199 of the 200 assembly seats. Polling was set to end at 5 pm but officials said those already in the queue at the booths by then were being allowed to vote.
72.17 percent voter turnout across Rajasthan till 5 pm. Exit poll predictions for the desert state will be announced shortly.

Voting in Rajasthan has ended. Results of exit polls will be released soon. The Election Commission of India (EC) has banned exit polls till 5.30 pm today.

ABP News Rajasthan Assembly Election 2018 Exit Polls: The state of Rajasthan is voting for 200 seats in the assembly election that began at 8 am today. The state assembly is facing a bipolar fight between Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The exit poll results by ABP News will be out after voting hours today on December 7, which is the last leg of polling in elections to five states also including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. Meanwhile, voters lined up at 51,687 booths and cast their vote on Friday. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sachin Pilot and other leaders were among those who exercised their franchise. Raje voted at a polling booth in her Jhalrapatan constituency in Jhalawar district, while Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Congress leader Sachin Pilot voted at a polling booth in Jaipur. Raje (Jhalrapatan), Pilot (Tonk), former chief minister Ashok Gehlot (Sardarpura) are among the 2,274 candidates in the fray. Counting of votes will take place on December 11 along with four other states.
