The ongoing conflict in Ukraine will be one of the main topics of discussion during the G-20 Summit in New Delhi next month, according to a senior US official, news agency PTI reported. G-20 leaders, including US President Joe Biden, are expected to attend the G-20 summit in New Delhi on September 9 to 10.


Speaking with media, State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller stated: “In all of our conversations with allies and partners around the world, we continue to discuss the war in Ukraine. It is always one of the top topics that come up in all of our conversations, and I have no doubt that’ll be true at the G20."

Russia attacked Ukraine on February 24, 2022, killing thousands and displacing millions. The battle has caused a surge in commodities and energy costs, exacerbating food shortages and fueling global inflation.


While the West has condemned the war and slapped economic penalties on Russia. India has insisted that the Ukraine situation be settled via diplomacy and discussion.

The G20, sometimes known as the Group of 20, is an international forum comprised of the world's main industrialised and developing nations.


Members account for around 85% of global GDP, more than 75% of global commerce, and almost two-thirds of the global population, PTI reported.
