The new government under Narendra Modi is anticipated to continue with its defence acquisition policy, which will significantly bolster India’s burgeoning domestic defence  industry. 

During his third term as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is expected to continue with his policy of self-reliance or ‘atmanirbharta’ in defence. Given the current geopolitical landscape, it is imperative for India to possess self-sufficiency in critical weapon systems. To achieve this, a comprehensive approach must be adopted to domestically produce all specialised technology defence systems.
