New Delhi: With geopolitical shifts taking place following the Russia-Ukraine invasion and the US slowly drifting from its global leadership role, India finds itself at an interesting juncture on its journey towards the new world order as a "Vishwaguru".


This has gained even more traction after the Covid-19 pandemic, where India was lauded by several nations for its humanitarian assistance.


The government said the country's role as the biggest vaccine-maker was critical for a disease-free world.




Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India has to play a bigger role in the new world order emerging post the pandemic. He also said that India was being recognised as a global leader post-Covid.

"In the circumstances created by Covid-19, a new world order is emerging. In this new order, India has to develop itself at a faster pace," the PM said at an event in Dehradun.
