Mumbai: ABP Network's Ideas of India is taking place at a remarkable moment in global history.
The world has just emerged from almost two years of a pandemic, which has felled many and damaged many more. Mother Earth is deeply unhappy with the ravages it has had to bear. Technology has taken unprecedented strides, mirroring the human mind, reading it, and worryingly, even anticipating it.
There is no better time than now to address some of the issues that agitate us.
Closer home, our civilisational past is being re-examined to create a new sense of nationhood different from the colonial model we have lived with for 75 years. No one is sure what this new national identity will be. Will it be more inclusive, more plural, more diverse, as our laws indicate? Or will it be more polarising, more divisive and more exclusionist as our social media-fuelled public discourse seems to suggest?
A dazzling array of thought leaders, visionary businessmen, cultural stars, and civil society pioneers will take the stage over two days, in more than 25 sessions, across more than 20 hours, to talk about the many ideas of India. They will think about its past, ponder over its present and contemplate its
future.
They will discuss the empathy index, the impact of technology on our lives, sustainable development, the pursuit of happiness, the possibility of a $5 trillion economy, a new agenda for governance, the spirit of entrepreneurship, the freedom paradigm, the emergence of the Alpha woman, the rise of the character actor as star on streaming services, the Brand Made in India, the importance of mental wellbeing, but most importantly India's place in the changing world order.
Nations are built on the stories they tell themselves and the world at large. The 'Wild Stone presents Ideas of India' will discuss this fresh narrative of tomorrow. On March 25 and 26, at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.
Come, meet the future.
