New Delhi: ABP Network's 'Ideas of India Summit' is back with this year's summit theme being 'Naya India: Looking Inward, Reaching Out'. The second edition will take place between February 24-25 and will see several eminent personalities from all walks of life sharing their views on important issues ranging from current climate to India's political standing among global superpowers.


This year, the ABP Network Ideas Of India summit — co-presented by Dabur Vedic Tea and co-powered by Dr Ortho, Gallant Advance, and Rajesh Masala (driven by Maruti Suzuki and with tech partner Panasonic) — will see notable speakers such as Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Minister Of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss, lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar, singers Lucky Ali and Shubha Mudgal, authors Amitav Ghosh and Devdutt Pattanaik, actresses Sara Ali Khan and Zeenat Aman, actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Manoj Vajpayee, celebrity chef Vikas Khanna, sports stars Jwala Gupta and Vinesh Phogat, and many more.


This year, among the many speakers, eminent screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar will also grace the ABP Network Ideas of India summit. Javed Akhtar is a recipient of five National Film Awards and has received the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2007. Akhtar's collaboration with Salim Khan( Salman Khan's father) , another prominent lyricist and screenwriter in Hindi cinema, brought him massive fame and the two delivered many blockbusters together.

Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan have written films like 'Deewar', 'Sholay' and have also made a significant impact in popular culture by bringing the anti-hero figure on celluloid whom the masses could relate to.


Javed Akhtar has also been vocal on many issues concerning the fate of the country and has made a mark in politics by campaigning for the Communist Party of India( CPI)  in the 2019 general elections. Mr Akhtar has also been a member of the upper house, the Rajya Sabha.
