In the community health center, the negligence of the staff in terms of delivery and other health services have always been heard. Even then the health department didn’t take pay heed to these problems or improve performance.
The case which had come to light at Kandhla Community Health Center of Shamli is related to residents Saroj, 70, Anarkali, 72, and Satyavati, 60, on Thursday reached the community health center to get their first corona jab. It is alleged that as soon as the women reached the centre, health workers asked them to get a syringe of Rs 10 each from outside and they got vaccinated for rabies.
The women are said to be illiterate and returned homes after the jab. The condition of one of the women started deteriorating as she started to panic and felt dizzy. The relatives took the woman to a private doctor for treatment and the doctor was surprised to see the prescription of the health center where she got the jab.
It is when the private doctor revealed that she has been vaccinated against rabies at the health center. When the relatives of the three women investigated the case further, the negligience of the staff of the community health center came to the fore after which relatives created uproar and also complained to CMO Shamli Sanjay Agarwal demanding action.
