Fans of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate have a fresh reason to revisit Victorian London: the game now runs at a smooth 60 frames per second on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, thanks to a free update available now. This update enhances the game’s visuals further by enabling 4K resolution on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X, offering a sharper and more immersive experience of the Industrial Age cityscape.
To recall, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was launched in October 2015 to mixed reviews. However, like most other games in the series, Syndicate managed to attain a cult following among fans, akin to its predecessor Assassin's Creed Unity.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate: Story, Gameplay
Set in 1868 at the height of the Industrial Revolution, the game invites players to explore London through the eyes of Jacob and Evie Frye, twin Assassins who aim to free the city from Templar dominance. Players can take on missions using a mix of stealth and combat, wielding iconic weapons like kukris, cane swords, brass knuckles, and revolvers. The wrist-mounted rope launcher adds a unique twist, allowing players to rapidly climb towering buildings or zip across streets. In a nod to the era’s bustling energy, the game also introduces carriage chases, where players can engage in thrilling rooftop battles with rival gang members.
Available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC (via Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, and Steam), and Amazon Luna, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is also part of Ubisoft+ subscriptions. Subscribers on platforms like PC, Xbox, and PlayStation can dive into the game at no extra cost.
This latest update breathes new life into one of the franchise’s most beloved entries, combining modern performance enhancements with its historical setting.
