Science fiction is also a favourite genre on streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon which sees a variety of shows from the genre every year.

 The Peripheral


The Peripheral, based on William Gibson's 2014 novel of the same name, is set in the near future. Outer Range


The science fiction neo-Western television series Outer Range centres on Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin), a Wyoming rancher fighting for his land and family. When a wanderer with connections to Abbott's ranch appears, Abbott discovers a mysterious black gap in the pasture. Outer Range demonstrates its distinctiveness, appeal, and boundless oddness. Strong themes of salvation, atonement, and choice are also present in the show.


Star Trek


Strange New Worlds: The moment viewers see Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and his crew of the USS Enterprise arrive on the scene at the start of Season 2 of "Star Trek: Discovery," a series called "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" was almost waiting to happen. Paper Girls


Paper Girls is based on the comic book series of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan; four childhood friends accidentally time travel to 2019 on Hell Day in 1988, interfering with their paper deliveries. While searching for a way back, they encounter several obstacles, such as facing their adult selves and working together to preserve the world. Bold and significant,Paper Girls is effortlessly diverse and filled with genuine moments that capture the experience of girlhood. This science-fiction/adventure show is a fantastic, moving, and coming-of-age story.
