Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Tandav’ has become the talk of the town since the time of its release. The web series has landed into legal trouble owing to its content. Several political leaders have accused the makers of hurting religious sentiments and portraying Hindu deities in poor light. Comedian Raju Srivastava also expressed his displeasure and slammed Saif Ali Khan and producers for ‘mocking feelings of Hindus’. He shared a video on social media to lash out at Saif for supporting this kind of content.
Several Twitter users called out Raju Srivastava for attacking the makers of ‘Tandav’ when he himself performed skits where he was seen parodying Ramayana and Mahabharat. The users slammed Srivastava for acting like hypocrite in the matter.
One user posted a video wherein the Uttar Pradesh Film Vikas Parishad chief was seen spoofing how things would be if there were news channels when Ravan kidnapped Sita.
Another user took a dig at Raju Srivastava on Twitter by sharing a video in which he ‘mocked’ Draupadi Cheer-haran.
One user tweeted, "Hypocrisy at its worst. Raju Srivastava seems to be competing with his Bigg Boss mate KRK for lowest standards."
Ali Abbas Zafar, who has directed ‘Tandav’, issued a statement on January 19 to announce that changes will be made in the web series. He said that the makers never intended to hurt or offend the sentiments of any person or community.

We thank the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for the guidance & support in the matter. We once again apologize if the series has unintentionally hurt anybody's sentiments,” Zafar said in a statement.
