New Delhi: The second season of the series, which will include some new faces in addition to the existing cast, has been announced by 'Pitchers' director Vaibhav Bundhoo. Sikander Kher, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Ridhi Dogra have joined the web-series for its second installment.
Vaibhav, according to IANS, claimed that the next season would be improved in terms of both the visuals and the content. "Season 2 of 'Pitchers' is going to be a level up not just in terms of story but also visually. The characters have evolved and so has the world of start-ups which they have to navigate. This show has always been about offering something new to the audience and we hope to live up to the love of the fans," Vaibhav said.
Dogra recently stated that she is really thrilled to be a part of Season 2 after a seven-year hiatus. "I was surprised when I was approached to be part of 'Pitchers Season 2'. It's a cult franchise and is loved by the audience across the country. Fans, including me, have been waiting for it to return for seven years now, and I am glad that I get to be a part of the much-awaited new season," Ridhi Dogra stated.
The actress was asked how she felt about joining the cast of the web series, and she responded,""I jumped on board as soon as I heard the storyline, especially because of how Arunabh Kumar, the creator of the show, has envisioned Season 2 and how the mad ride continues."
The first season of 'Pitchers' tells the story of four entrepreneurs who quit their professions to start their own businesses and overcame all obstacles to do so. The web-series, which was released in 2015, stars Naveen Kasturia, Arunabh Kumar, Abhay Mahajan, and Jitendra Kumar.
'Pitchers S2' will be streaming on ZEE5.
