New Delhi: Malaika Arora became an overnight sensation, courtesy the song 'Chaiyaa Chaiyaa', that became iconic because of its lyrics and Malaika's stellar moves on the top of a train. But did you know that Malaika was not the first choice for the song?
Choreographer Farah Khan, who also choreographed the song, made the interesting revelation during an interview, recently. As per a DNA report, Farah was quoted saying, "You’re the 'Chaiyaa Chaiyaa' girl. But luckily for you, some five heroines had refused to climb on the train. Malaika was nowhere on the radar. We approached Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Shilpa Shirodkar, and 2-3 other people. One had a phobia of climbing on the train, another one was not available."
"Then the makeup person said, Malaika is a very good dancer. When she climbed on the train, we were completely curious whether she would pull it off or not. But the rest as we know is history," Farah added further.
Malaika Arora is all set to make her digital debut with her chat show 'Moving In With Malaika', where she will let her guard down and give viewers a chance to get up close and personal with her, as she shares more about her life than what is known about her through social media.
Farah Khan will be gracing the first episode of the show as Malaika's guest. The promo video of the first episode shows Malaika talking about her personal life and how she has overcome trolls. While talking about her divorce with ex-husband Arbaaz Khan, Malaika becomes teary-eyed. Farah then consoles her and says, "You look beautiful even while crying."
