Varun, who is excited to have a working birthday this year on the sets of 'Bawaal', was wished by actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Varun and Samantha will be seen sharing screen space in 'Citadel'. Wishing Varun, Samantha wrote, "Happy birthday Rockstar. Wishing you the bestest year. God bless."
Varun's 'Jugg Jugg Jeeyo' team, including actors Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and others including director Raj Mehta, showered all their love on the actor through a special video to wish him on his birthday.

Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who will be seen opposite Varun in 'Bawaal', shared a montage of Varun's different characters and wrote, "Happy Birthday Varun! Hope you have a great day and a fantastic year ahead! Iss saal machayenge Bawaal."
