Shaheer revealed that he believes in portraying one character at a time and wants to experiment more as an actor. The ‘Navya’ actor told SpotboyE, “I like to play one character at a time and that's why I haven't done anything on the digital platform yet. Now, I have not signed or given commitment to any TV show, so, I will take up any exciting work which comes my way, which can be on a digital platform or it can be a film.”

“The only thing I keep in my mind while choosing a character for me is how exciting it is. I would also like to do a negative role if offered. Honestly, the actor feels content when he/she plays something which he hasn't done before. When you do something which is totally different from what you have done in your past. And that is reassuring yourself that you are not just playing yourself but a character”, he added.

Shaheer also disclosed how he turned down many roles before which demanded him to do something he personally does not endorse. He further added that he wants to inspire people in the right way even if he is playing the bad guy.

The actor was quoted saying by the portal, “Even if I am doing a negative role, I want to inspire the people in the right way. I have turned down offers before which demanded me to do something which I personally don't believe in. So, even if I play a bad character, the journey has to be like where he gets punished for his wrong doings. At the end of the day, people should get the message that if you do something wrong, it is not okay. As an actor, we have some responsibility. There are a lot of people who get inspired by us and it is our duty to give them the right message.”

Reportedly, Shaheer’s show ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ will telecast its last episode on October 17. And from October 19, ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2’ will take over the same slot.
