New Delhi: The wait is finally over! The makers of Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ have resumed shooting for the show after three-month break due to COVID-19 crisis. The shooting for all films, TV shows and ads were put on halt since March 19 in wake of the Coronavirus pandemic. Ardent fans of the show were eagerly waiting for the resumption of the shoots so that they can see their favourite characters back on the small screens.

Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan, who play the respective roles of Naira and Kartik, shot for their first scene after lockdown on Friday (June 26). The production house is taking all precautionary measures to safeguard the cast and crew. Producer Rajan Shahi was himself present on the sets to monitor everything.

Speculations were rife that Shivangi Joshi will exit ‘YRKKH’ because of the new track. It was said that another actress will step into her shoes. The fans of the show were disheartened after news spread like wildfire on the internet.

Shivangi, while talking to an entertainment portal, has refuted all the rumours.

"This is to clear the air that I am not going anywhere. I had a wonderful journey portraying Naira in these 4 years and it will continue to be so. In fact, there is a very special treat for all Yeh Rishta fans and we will be coming to surprise you all soon with it," the ‘Begusarai’ actress told SpotboyE.

‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is one of the longest running shows on Indian television. The daily soap has successfully completed over 3000 episodes and is still going strong.
