TV actor Amit Tandon, who started his career as a contestant in singing reality show 'Indian Idol' season 1, is beaming with joy these days. The singer-turned -actor, who is is best known for playing the role of 'Subbu' in Divyanka Tripathi starrer 'Star Plus' show 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', made headlines when his marriage with wife Ruby Tandon hit a rough path in 2017 and the couple even filed for divorce. The estranged couple, who decided to give another chance to their relationship after Ruby's jail term, has now cancelled their divorce proceedings.

Putting their divorce on hold in February this year, the couple started living together only as friends with their daughter Jiyana. But, Amit and Ruby are now are back together as a couple.

Confirming the same, Amit Tandon told an entertainment portal that,  "We are now living as a couple, ek baar phir. We are living very much as husband and wife."

Speaking about their decision of cancelling divorce proceedings, he further added, "We realised that we are better together as one unit rather than apart as two. We are also doing better in our respective work. My new song is coming up on Monday. Ruby is setting up a new place and will be back in full flow, soon."

Ruby and Amit's decision has made their daughter Jiayan the happiest.

Amit Tandon is glad that they gave another chance to their relationship. Sharing his thoughts about the same, he further told SpotboyE that, "A lot of parents are applying for a divorce, but we don't subscribe to that school of thought which says 'it's okay to part ways if you have differences with your partner'. We  believed in saving the situation, we tried and we have succeeded."

This is indeed a great news!

For the uninitiated, back in August 2017, Ruby had been put behind bars as certain DHA (Dubai Health Authority) officials had alleged that she had threatened a few government officials there. After spending 10 months in jail, Ruby finally came out in September last year. Since then, she is spending quality time with husband Amit and daughter Jiyana.

On the professional front, Amit Tandon was one of the finalists on the first season of 'Indian Idol'. Later, he made his acting debut with Ekta Kapoor's 'Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai'. Post which, he did shows like 'Dill Mill Gayye', 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi', 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' and was last seen in 'Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki' opposite Kratika Sengar.
