Yeh Hai Chahatein: Divyanka & Karan Shoot For Promo; THESE Two Actresses Join The Show

Indira Krishnan and Khatija Iqbal have joined the star cast of Yeh Hai Chahatein.

New Delhi: Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ has won the hearts of the viewers with its engaging storyline. The romantic drama starring Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel, was launched on December 3, 2013. Karan Patel, who left the show to participate in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 10’, will soon re-enter the show. Chaitanya Choudhary had replaced Karan Patel as the new Raman Bhalla during the latter’s absence in the show. Divyanka and Karan recently shot for the promo of ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’, which is the spin-off of ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’. The upcoming show will feature ‘Gatbandhan’ actor Abrar Qazi and ‘Tantra’ actress Sargun Kaur in lead roles. Divyanka and Karan, who are fondly known as Ishita and Raman, will introduce the female lead Sargun in the promo.

As per the latest buzz, the makers have roped in veteran actress Indira Krishnan to play the female lead’s mother in ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’. “Indira Krishnan will play the mother of Sargun, the heroine. They will be part of the South Indian family,” a source told IWMBuzz. Ekta Kapoor wishes to retain the original flavor of ‘YHM’, which had a South Indian touch, the report in the portal said. Indira has featured in shows like 'Krishnadasi' and 'Afsar Bitiya'.

Another report in an entertainment portal suggested that Khatija Iqbal will also be part of the show. ‘Jamai Raja 2.0’ fame Khatija Iqbal has bagged a prominent role in ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’, the report in Tellychakkar said. She has worked in 'Namaste England' and web-series like 'Ragini MMS: Returns' & 'BOSS: Baap of Special Services'.

‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ is expected to take the 10:30pm slot on Star Plus from next month. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actress Parul Chauhan is rumoured to play the main antagonist in the show. Stay tuned for more telly updates!
