New Delhi: Vaibhavi Upadhyay, who portrayed Jasmine in the classic show 'Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai', has passed away in a car accident. After she passed away, actors Satish Shah, Rupali Ganguly, and Deven Bhojani paid their final respects to the actor. The actors Vaishnavi, Deven, and Rupali worked on the well-known family comedy 'Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai'.
Rupali shared a picture of the actor and wrote in her story on Instagram, "Gone too soon Vaibhavi" She also tweeted her tributes, quoting Deven's post for Vaishnavi. “This is not fair, gone too soon,” Rupali tweeted late Tuesday.
Actor Deven Bhojani had tweeted, "Shocking! A very fine actress and a dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay, popularly known as Jasmine of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in north a few hours back. Rest in peace Vaibhavi.”
“Vaibhavi Upadhyay, aka Jasmin in our serial Sarabhai vs Sarabhai a fine actor and a colleague left for heavenly abode yesterday. The whole SvS team is in a shock. Om Shanti,” actor Satish Shah also tweeted.
“I am in a state of shock. Absolutely numb. #vaibhaviupadhyaya ॐ शान्ति,” Sumeet Raghvan write in a tweet.
Producer JD Majethia posted on Instagram that Vaibhavi had passed away in a car accident. “Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi upadhyay popularly known as jasmine of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in north. Family will bring her to mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for last rites . RIP vaibhavi.”
Along with 'Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai', Vaibhavi worked on 'CID' and 'Adaalat', among other TV shows. She also starred with Deepika Padukone in Meghna Gulzar's 2020 film 'Chhapaak'.
