Mumbai: ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ returned with a new season on Sony TV from August 21. Kapil, Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh and the other team members have managed to tickle the funny bones of the viewers with their comic acts. While the new season has received a good response from the fans, the makers of the show have landed in trouble. An FIR has been filed against the producers of ‘TKSS’ for showing actors drinking alcohol in an episode while they enacted a courtroom scene, according to a report in Indian Express.

Suresh Dhakad, a lawyer, filed the case against the makers of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri District and Sessions Court, the report in the daily said. He accused the team of ‘disrespecting the court’ in the particular episode, which he claimed aired on April 21, 2021. The original episode beamed on Sony TV in January 2020 while the repeat telecast aired earlier this year.

Dhakad also claimed that a case has been registered against Kapil and Sony TV’s director under the Excise Act and IT Act, the report in Indian Express said. The court will hear the matter on October 1.

 'TKSS' Returns With A Bang

Kapil Sharma took a break from the show to spend quality time with his wife Ginni Chatrath after the birth of their son. 'TKSS', which is one of the most popular non-fiction shows, returned to the small screens last month. Bollywood superstars Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar graced the first two episodes of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' in August. They promoted their respective films on the sets of the show.

The comedy show also features Sumona Chakravarti, Sudesh Lahiri, Archana Puran Singh and Kiku Sharda.
