New Delhi: Sony Entertainment Television’s 'Tara from Satara' has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its simple and sweet storyline. The show. which stars Roshni Walia in the titular role, focuses on the journey of Tara, who wishes to fulfil her father's dreams. Despite facing competition from 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' (Star Plus), 'Vish (Colors TV) and 'Hamari Bahu Silk' (Zee TV), the show is getting TRPs of 0.9-1 at late night slot. The makers of the show are all set to spice up things by introducing the male lead.

TV actor Sheezan Mohammad will enter 'Tara from Satara' as the lead opposite Roshni Walia. The actor will play Tara's friend in the show.

Sheezan, who was previously seen in the show Prithvi Vallabh in the role of King Bhoj, will now be seen essaying the role of Arjun. He would be the male lead of the show, who would be seen opposite Roshni Walia’s character of Tara. His character is that of a Mumbai boy with a tapori accent who meets Tara in a dance academy. It would be interesting to see the two in a friendly relation and how this relation would shape as the plot thickens.

Talking about his role, Sheezan said in a statement, “Arjun would be seen as Tara’s friend and would have a friendly chemistry with Tara. My character in Tara from Satara is of a boy who hails from a chawl and thus has that Tapori accent, so I had to firstly prepare for that and when it comes to dance it has always been my first love. I had to leave it after I started acting but this project gives me a chance to follow both my passions together. My chemistry with Roshni in this show would be unique as it is unlike the general love story, it is an innocent friendship and unknowingly shapes into love.”

On the professional front, Sheezan has been part of shows like 'Chandra Nandini' and 'Ek Thi Rani Ek Tha Raavan'.

'Tara from Satara' airs on weekdays 10:30pm slot on Sony TV. The show also features Ashwini Koul and Urvashi Pardeshi in pivotal roles.
