TV actor Gautam Vig, who is best known for playing the role of Avni's (Aditi Rathore) childhood best friend 'Ali' in popular 'Star Plus' show 'Naamkarann', is away fron TV ever since his stint in popular 'Zee TV' show 'Ishq Subhan Allah' came to an end earlier this year. But now, Gautam is set to be back on our TV screens and has bagged the lead role in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's upcoming 'Colors' show titled 'Tantra'. Actress Sargun Kaur is playing the female lead in 'Tantra' & Gautam will be seen romancing her in the show.

After playing a negative role in her last show 'Ishq Subhan Allah', Gautam will reportedly play a positive and happy-go-lucky guy in 'Tantra'.

Speaking about Gautam's role, a source told a leading daily that, "Gautam will be seen playing Akshat, who happens to be Niyati's (Sargun Kaur) best friend. He's a very loving and jovial guy, who will do whatever it takes to make Niyati happy and tension free."

Gautam too confirmed being a part of 'Tantra' & told TOI that, "Yes, I'll be playing the role of Akshat and I'm quite excited. The character is of a nice boy, which is very different from the characters I have played in the past."

Also featuring known TV actors like Juhi Parmar, Manish Goel among others in pivotal roles, the promos of 'Tantra' are already on-air. 'Tantra' is a thriller drama and the story will revolve around black magic. Check out the show's promo below:
