'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' Actor's Father Undergoes Emergency Surgery; Co-Stars Pray For His Recovery

'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' actor Gurucharan Singh's father recently underwent an emergency surgery.

New Delhi: TV actor Gurucharan Singh, who is fondly known for playing the role of Sodhi in Sony SAB’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, took to social media to inform the fans that his father underwent an emergency surgery on Thursday (August 13). The talented actor revealed that his father’s surgery was successful in a post on Instagram. He requested the fans to pray for his father’s recovery and also expressed his eagerness to meet him at the hospital. Singh penned an emotional note and said that he owned everything to his parents. He also said that he would inform the fans about his father’s health update. "Hello Everyone. Today Dad got operated n it was Emergency. His Surgery is Successful by Waheguru ji Grace, n prayers of EveryOne. I am at Hospital eager to meet Him. I am what I am because of my Parents n WAHEGURU G Grace. Will update yoU all for His Recovery. Please Pray For Him.Gratitude," Gurucharan wrote.

Gurucharan's ‘Taarak Mehta’ co-stars dropped comments on the post and prayed for his father’s recovery. Jennifer Mistry, who plays his on-screen wife Roshan, commented, "Guru take care of uncle ji...God bless...prayers for him." Palak Sindhwani aka Sonu Bhide wrote, "I’ll pray for him, sending lots of love guru uncle." Samay Shah, Nirmal Soni, Ambika Ranjankar, Tanuj Mahashabde and Monika Bhadoriya also sent their wishes and prayed for Gurucharan’s father’s recovery. (Source- Instagram) Gurucharan Singh has been missing from the show for quite a while. Speculations were rife that he had decided to leave the show. It was even rumoured that the actor wrote a letter to the production house to inform them about his decision. However, the makers denied the rumours and said that he is very much part of the popular sitcom.
