Gossip mills were buzzing with the rumours that Gurucharan Singh, who plays the role of Sodhi in ‘TMKOC’, has quit the show. It was said that Gurucharan has decided to leave the show because of personal reasons. Some reports suggested that he wrote a letter to the production house to inform them about his decision.

‘Taarak Mehta’ producer Asit Modi, while talking to an entertainment portal, has squashed all the rumours. He said that he didn’t receive any letter from Gurucharan Singh.

"I really don't know from where this news is being spread. I haven't received any such letter from him. Right now, I am busy writing my stories and deciding dates on when to resume our shooting," Asit Modi told SpotboyE.

Modi also confirmed that his production house won’t resort to pay cuts. He also said that he won’t force any of the actors to come to the sets if they are uncomfortable due to the COVID-19 crisis.

"Yes, it's true we are not doing any pay cuts and I will try my best that in future too, we don't have to resort to such measures. I will also not be forcing any of my actors to come on the set and shoot if they are uncomfortable due to the situation outside. It will be their decision and I will respect it," Modi told the portal.

'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', which stars Dilip Joshi in lead role, will soon complete 3000 episodes. 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' is the only Hindi TV show which has achieved this massive feat.
