New Delhi: 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' actor Jennifer Mistry accused producer Asit Modi of sexual harassment a few weeks back and also spoke about the toxic work culture on the set of the show. After her, many other actors who had worked on the show in the past came out and spoke against the work environment. Now in a latest interview, Jennifer has again spoken about work culture and shared how the shooting hours caused inconvenience and hassle for child actors.
In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the child actor used to work at the nights before their exam day. “The kids were really put in a tough spot sometimes. Like if we had a night shoot, the kids would shoot at night, would study at the same time when in the morning they had an exam at 7 am. Sometimes, the kids would wrap up the shoot at 6 am and go directly to the school at 7 am,” she told Bollywood Bubble.
She also revealed that the show’s project head Sohail Ramani used to behave badly with the late actor Ghanshyam Nayak, who played Nattu kaka on the show.
“Sohil used to be very disrespectful towards Nattu Kaka. We have all seen him cry so many times. Monika (Bhadoriya) once told me that Nattu Kaka was crying so badly and saying that Sohil would answer for his sins. He just wanted an off and Sohil just kept pushing him,” she told Bollywood Bubble.
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played Mrs Roshan Sodi in the TV show, had accused producer Asit Modi of alleged sexual harassment at the workplace. Asit Modi called all the allegations baseless and said he would take legal action against the actor.
Apart from accusing Asit Modi, Jennifer also claimed that the show's project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer, Jatin Bajaj behaved rudely with her.
