Popular TV actors Helly Shah and Namit Taneja, who played the respective role of Swara and Lakshya in Colors TV’s 'Swaragini', are set to make their return to the small screen with a new show.

A report in a leading daily suggested that the two actors have been finalised for a new show to be produced by Shoonya Square Productions. The production house has earlier produced shows like ‘Belan Wali Bahu’ and ‘Thapki Pyar Ki’.

The new fiction show is said to be loosely based on Imtiaz Ali’s film ‘Jab We Met’, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the report in Times of India said.

Interestingly, Helly and Namish will be paired opposite each other, unlike Swaragini, where they played the role of bhabhi and deva. The two talented actors are negotiating with the production and are expected to be roped in for the show soon, as per the report.

The report also suggested that Ankitta Sharma and Kanwar Dhillon are also in the race to bag the role but the team associated with the show is keen to have Namish and Helly on-board.

Helly Shah, who also participated in Jhalak Dikh Laja was last seen in ‘Devanshi’ opposite Mudit Nayar. Namish Taneja played the lead role of Satya in Star Plus’ 'Ikywan' opposite Prachi Tehlan.

When the leading daily contacted Helly, she said, “Yes, I am in talks for the show, but nothing is finalised yet.”
