In a shocking case of road rage, popular TV actress Rupali Ganguly best remembered for her role in Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai suffered injuries on Firday after a biker and the pillion rider allegedly broke her car's window pane. The actor was on her way to drop her five-year-old son to school when she faced the unfortunate incident.

According to reports, Rupali's car happened to touch a bike ahead of her when her playful son suddenly snatched her mobile from her hand. But, it was just a small jerk as neither of the two men on the bike got hurt. But upon finding out that it was woman, that too an actress, behind the steering wheel, the rogues apparently decided to 'teach her a lesson'.

Rupali played Ratna Pathak Shah’s middle class daughter-in-law Monisha in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.

One of them immediately got down from the bike and started hurling abuses at her in Marathi. Meanwhile, the other smashed the left window. The incident left her son and 20-year-old caretaker in tears. Rupali apologised but the guy went on to break the glass of the rear windscreen.The man then hit her window hard enough to break the glass. The shattered pieces hit her hand and she began bleeding. Fortunately the actress managed to escape.

The actress naratted the entire incident, along with pictures of her broken car, in a series of tweets  - 














Ganguly and her caretaker went to Versova police station to lodge a complaint. Within three hours, biker Mahesh Mokal (30) and pillion rider Akash Dhatkar (22) were traced and arrested. They were however released on bail later.
