New Delhi: Popular TV actress Surbhi Chandna aka Anika from ‘Ishqbaaaz’ is all set to make her comeback to the small screen with ‘Sanjivani’. The actress made waves with her chemistry with co-star Nakuul Mehta in ‘Ishqbaaaz’. Her fans are eagerly waiting to see her in the role of a doctor in the much-awaited medical series.


‘Yeh Pyaar Nhi Toh Kya Hai’ actor Namit Khanna has been paired opposite Surbhi Chandna in ‘Sanjivani 2’. Their characters will hate each other in the beginning but will end up falling in love with each other. The two actors have already started shooting for the show and it is expected to go on-air by the end of July.

Speculations were rife that popular TV actor Shantanu Maheshwari will be part of ‘Sanjivani 2’. A report in an entertainment portal has confirmed the development.

The ‘Dil Dosti Dance’ actor will play a cameo in the show and will be seen in the first episode of ‘Sanjivani’, the report in India Forums said.

On the professional front, Shantanu was last seen in ALT Balaji’s ‘Medically Yours’. He was the winner of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 8’.


Talking about ‘Sanjivani 2’, the show is creating quite a buzz on social media. Earlier in the day, we shared with you Surbhi Chandna’s first look from the show. The upcoming show on Star Plus is the third season of ‘Sanjivani’.

‘Sanjivani’, which was launched in 2002, proved to be a TRP topper. The medical drama featured Gurdeep Kohli, Mihir Mishra, Rupali Ganguly, and Mohnish Behl in pivotal roles.

After the success of 'Sanjivani', the makers launched its sequel 'Dill Mill Gayye' in 2007 on Star One. Karan Singh Grover, Jennifer Winget, Karan Wahi and Shilpa Anand essayed the lead roles in the show.

The new season of ‘Sanjivani’ will also feature Gurdeep Kohli, Mohnish Bahl, Sayantani Ghosh and Rohit Roy in key roles.
