TV actress Shirin Sewani, who is best known for playing Akshara's (Hina Khan) cousin Anshuman's wife 'Jasmeet' in Star Plus show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', is all set to take a huge leap in her career. The actress, currently seen in Deepika Singh & Namik Paul's recently launched Colors show 'Kawach Mahashivratri', is set to make her Bollywood debut very soon. Shirin Sewani will be making her big screen debut as Sonakshi Sinha's sister in upcoming film titled 'Khaandaani Shafakhana' also featuring Badshah and Varun Sharma.

The actress, who was also seen in Mouni Roy's 'Naagin 2', took to her social media account and shared the great news with her fans. Two days ago, on 13th June, she posted a picture of the clapboard from the film's set on Instagram.

Speaking about her character in the film, Shirin told an entertainment portal that, "It’s my first big break and I’m really excited for it. I’m playing Sonakshi’s younger sister and my character name is Sheetu. The film has been produced by Mrighdeep Lamba, Bhushan Kumar and directed by Shilpi Dasgupta. I auditioned for the role and luckily got the part."

Shirin also spoke about her experience of working with Sonakshi & other known names in the film and told India Forums that, "My experience was outstanding. Everybody on the set was very welcoming and nice to me and they all made me feel comfortable and homely. Varun and Sonakshi are big stars but they always made me feel welcome. I have been working in the web and TV world and this is the first time that I’m working in such a big movie."

Directed by Shilpi Dasgupta, 'Khandaani Shafakhana' is scheduled to release on July 26.
