Sanjivani 2: Mohnish Bahl's Wife Aarti Bahl To Play Namit Khanna Aka Dr. Sid's Mother!

Producer Siddharth Malhotra's recently-launched Star Plus show 'Sanjivani', featuring 'Ishqbaaaz' fame Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna in lead roles of 'Ishani' & 'Siddhant' respectively, is fetching positive response from viewers for the story line as well as performances. To make Sanjivani 2' more interesting and entertaining, the makers are now all set to introduce the character of Dr. Sid's (Namit Khanna) mother. Actor Mohnish Bahl's actress-wife Aarti Bahl is set to enter 'Sanjivani 2' as Dr. Sid's mother. Confirming her entry in 'Sanjivani', she told a leading daily that, "Producer Siddharth Malhotra is a good friend and I worked with him earlier too. Both Siddharth and his wife Sapna had been wanting to work with me, but I did not know it would happen so soon. Since my husband was also a part of the show, I thought it would be great." For both of us, the script and the director has always been the most important and in Sanjeevani too, I felt that playing Dr Sid's (Namit Khanna) mother would be an interesting role. My daughter Pranutan has debuted this year in films, my husband is already doing a TV show and now with me joining him, we will again be and all- working family." On a related note, Aarti Bahl started her acting career as a Bollywood actress and was popularly known as Ekta Sohini. She did films like 'Awwal Number', 'Saajan', 'Vaastav' among others. She has worked in TV shows like 'Saahil', 'Junoon' and was seen with Mohnish in 'Dill Mill Gayye' as Riddhima's mother and Dr. Shashank's second wife 'Padma'.
