TV actress Aanchal Khurana, who first rose to fame after winning 'MTV Roadies 8', made her acting debut with the negative role of Charu in ZEE TV's popular show 'Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke'. Ever since then, Aanchal has only played negative roles in many popular shows including 'Zindagi Ek Mehek', 'Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji' among others. But now, the talented actress has bagged a new show in which she is set to play a positive character for the first time in her career. Aanchal Khurana will soon be entering Colors' 'Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop' as Shashank Vyas aka Roopendra's sister.

Archana Puran Singh REACTS on REPLACING Navjot Singh Sidhu in 'The Kapil Sharma Show'!

Confirming her exit from the Colors show, Nikki told the daily that, "I have quit the show, as my dates were not being utilised. Initially, I used to shoot for 25 days, but over the past seven months, I was being called for just three-four days a month. I was promised that I will have a separate track post the leap, which didn’t happen and it was obviously cut short. I understand that the hero is the central character and everything will revolve around him, but other characters should be given prominence, too."

Aanchal too confirmed her entry in 'Roop' & told TOI that, "I was offered the part the night I returned to Mumbai. This is the first time I would be playing a positive character and I am quite excited about it. I believe that the break, too, worked in my favour. I am fine with playing negative characters, but I was fed up of doing the same thing in every show. Every time I am offered a negative character, I am asked to repeat the Charu (from Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke) act. I am glad I could break away from that image with Roop."
