New Delhi: The iconic saas-bahu duo of Ratna Pathak Shah and Rupali Ganguly as Maya Sarabhai and Monisha is back. One of the most loved television characters from the popular show 'Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai' have reunited, this time for an ad for the online shopping platform Flipkart.

The new ad featuring Maya Sarabhai and Monisha

In the ad, Ratna Pathak Shah and Rupali Ganguly are dressed as their characters from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Ratna, as Maya Sarabhai, wears an elegant sari, a boat-neck blouse, and a blunt cut hairstyle, while Rupali, as Monisha Sarabhai, sports a red salwar suit with an off-white scarf. They are in a store where Maya lists a bunch of discounted grocery items, humorously claiming they are from Monisha's mayka (parents' home).

Monisha explains to Maya that all the items are discounted due to an ongoing Flipkart offer. She humorously refers to a jar of peanut butter as “moongfali ki chutney,” causing Maya to roll her eyes. The ad concludes with the two characters dancing together to celebrate the Flipkart deal.
