Cricketer-turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, currently seen on The Kapil Sharma Show, is being criticised from all quarters over his insensitive remarks over the recent Pulwama terror attack which took place on Thursday.


During a media interaction last evening, Sidhu said, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished."

At the time when the entire nation is boiling with rage after at least 40 CRPF personnel were killed in a ‘fidayeen’ attack in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama, his statements have badly hurt the fans & followers of The Kapil Sharma Show.

Twitterati have been demanding to throw him out of the show or they will boycott TKSS. In fact, #BoycottSidhu has been trending since last night.

And now the latest update is that Sidhu has been sacked from the show.

Our source confirmed that the channel is in talks with the production house and wants Sidhu to be replaced with immediate effect. The source told us, “The channel has told the production house to sack Sidhu. It’s not a temporary thing but he will be permanently ousted from the show.

The channel has shot a couple of episodes with Archana Puran Singh and most probably, she will be the one replacing Sidhu.”

The source adds, “The episodes weren’t shot keeping this incident in mind but now the channel will be taking her on board fully. Talks are on with Archana Puran Singh and she might soon be the permanent member on the show.
