Mumbai: TV actor Akshay Kharodia, who plays the role of Dev in Star Plus’ ‘Pandya Store’, has postponed his wedding in wake of the second wave of COVID-19 in India. The talented actor was all set to tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend on May 14 but the couple had to cancel the plans due to the Coronavirus crisis.
Akshay, while talking to Times Of India, revealed that he had made all the arrangements for his wedding. However, he had to cancel the tickets at the last minute.
The actor further said that his girlfriend had even purchased her wedding outfit for their special day. He added that they postponed the wedding after considering the health of their family members.
Akshay also told the daily that he hasn’t decided his new wedding date. The actor is currently busy shooting for ‘Pandya Store’ in Bikaner as the shooting for films, shows have been halted in Maharashtra.
‘Pandya Store’, which stars Shiny Doshi and Kinshuk Mahajan in lead roles, was recently shifted to 7:30pm slot from its late-night slot. The family drama has managed to strike a chord with the viewers. The TRPs of the show have witnessed a rise after the makers introduced a leap.
