TV actress Geeta Bisht, who has featured in popular shows including 'Naamkarann', has started her New Year 2019 on a happy note. The TV actress, who was last seen in SONY TV's popular show 'Ek Deewana Tha' featuring Vikram Singh Chauhan, Donal Bisht and Namik Paul in lead roles, welcomed her first child on New Year. Geeta Bisht gave birth to a baby girl on 1st January 2019. Sharing the good news with her fans on social media, the TV actress posted first picture on her little munchkin on Instagram.

The picture has been captioned as, "1st Jan 2019.... This angel came into our life.. This was the best new year gift ever... @heyyashhu tum papa aur main mummy ban Gaye"

Geeta Bisht is married to actor Yashpal Saini & the couple has named their daughter 'Yashita'. Speaking about the same, Geeta told IWMbuzz that, “My husband Yash (writer and actor) and I have named her Yashita. So it’s like ‘Yash’ from my husband’s name and ‘Ita’ from my name Geeta. Her name is an amalgamation of our names. However, we are yet to have the naming ceremony.”

For the uninitiated, Geeta played the role of Rati Bedi in 'Ek Deewana Tha' and has also featured in shows like 'Crime Patrol', 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha' among others.
