New Delhi: Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, fondly known as ‘Captain Cool’, has announced retirement from international cricket. Dhoni, who is the only skipper to win all three ICC limited-over trophies, shared a post on Instagram to announce his retirement.

Several TV celebs including Nakuul Mehta, Aamir Ali paid tribute to the Chennai Super Kings captain, who had an illustrious 15-year-old career as an Indian cricketer.

'Ishqbaaaz' actor Nakuul Mehta wrote, "Saw this coming but still hard not to well up thinking about how he made your lives so much more joyful & beautiful with the way he played the game. Thank you."



Aamir Ali called MS Dhoni one of the best captains in Indian cricket history. "Will miss u in blue #Dhoni ..one of de beat captain of all time and certainly the best best finisher," his tweet read.



"#MSDhoni No words can define you. Leaving a big space in the Indian cricket which can never be filled," 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' actor Aasif Sheikh tweeted.



'Bigg Boss 13' winner Sidharth Shukla tweeted, "There will be a lot of players & captains bt there can never b another #Dhoni..D man who always lead frm d front ..many play fr records you played to win and made records....India will miss you terribly.Thank you #MSDhoni & #Raina for your immense contribution to Team India ."



'Nazar' actor Harsh Rajput wrote, "ye aye captain......no more helicopters Thank you for wonderful memories. Will miss seeing you in blue jersey."

Dhoni played his last ODI match against New Zealand in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup. He shared a post on Instagram to inform fans about his retirement from international cricket. He is expected to play in the new season of 'Indian Premiere League'.
