Mumbai: Leading GECs are all set to entertain the viewers with newer concepts in fiction and non-fiction shows in the next few months. As it is the norm in the TV industry, old shows will make way for newer ones. We had earlier informed you that ‘Pinjra Khubsurti Ka’ will go off air next month. The show starring Sahil Uppal and Riya Sharma will bid adieu to the fans in the first week of August.

Giaa Manek's New Show To Replace Pratigya 2

If a recent report in an entertainment portal is to be believed, several shows will face the axe across channels. ‘Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2’, which was launched with much fanfare, will soon air its last episode, a report in ETimes said.

Pooja Gor and Arhaan Bahl starrer ‘Pratigya 2’ failed to strike a chord with viewers despite the massive hype. The social drama couldn’t rake in good TRPs even when the makers experimented with newer storylines.

Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’s prequel ‘Tera Mera Saath Rahe’ will replace ‘Pratigya 2’ on Star Bharat. The promo of the new show starring Gia Manek and Mohammed Nazim is already on air.

Star Plus is reportedly planning to pull the plug on ‘Aapki Nazaron Ne Samjha’. The early evening show starring Vijayendra Kumeria is expected to go off air within six months of launch, a report in SpotboyE said. The show faced several obstacles as it aired at a non-prime time slot and the makers had to relocate to a new place when the Maharashtra government announced a lockdown to combat the COVID-19 crisis in the state.

TV Shows Which Are Going Off Air

‘Kyun Utthe Dul Chod Aye’, ‘Hamari Wali Good News’ and ‘Namak Issk Ka’ are also under scanner and most probably will face the axe. ‘Balika Vadhu 2’ will replace ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ from August 9 at 8pm slot on Colors channel. It remains to be seen if ‘Shakti’ will be shifted to a new slot or will go off air.
